Eventing Superstars!

The world of Eventing is watching the rise of two superstars, both Connemara Sporthorses out of Thoroughbred mares!

Feldale Mouse ridden by Isabel English

Feldale Mouse ridden by Isabel English finished 8th in the 2* event at the 2012 Adelaide Horse Trials being one of the only combinations to come home clear and on time in the Cross Country phase. Feldale Mouse is by the Connemara Stallion Domo Cavallo Praize out of a Thoroughbred mare and is just one example of the amazing athletic ability and high class performance horse that the cross can produce.

Another Connemara x Thoroughbred currently rising through the Eventing Ranks is Canopy Grove Damini, sired (like Feldale Mouse) by a Connemara stallion out of a Thoroughbred mare.

Canopy Grove Damini ridden by Emily Hann

Canopy Grove Damini ridden by Emily Hann is pictured here on the combinations way to winning the 2012 1* event held at Coonabarabran during the winter. Canopy Grove Damini is by Glenormiston Oliver, a full brother to the amazing broodmares Glenormiston Rosslea, Glenormiston Rossmara etc and so again highlights the performance strength of the pedigree that we have already seen with Glenormiston Dundrum, Glenormiston Dunmurray and Glenormiston Redmond and so likely to continue with Asham Duntroon.

Asham Connemaras & Sporthorses is endeavouring to continue this tradition of excellence with the first crops of foals by Glenormiston Bartley out of Thoroughbred mares. These progeny can be seen on our Horses For Sale page and are more than worthy of your consideration when looking for your next elite performance horse.
