Glenormiston Slieveroe soars at Equitana 2013
Sam and Glenormiston Slieveroe created quite an impression as one of the feature ponies at Equitana 2013 representing the Connemara Pony Breeders Society of Australia.
With the Equitana Breed Village being located inside one of the pavilions and the ponies stabled on carpet, no less, Glenormiston Slieveroe took everything in his stride and made quite an impression on the many visitors to the CPBSA Stand. In the 'Showjumping & Eventing Types' session Sly showed them all how to do it being the only pony to progressively jump higher with his final fence being over 1m. No mean feat when you consider the session was held in what is traditionally the dog parading arena at the Sydney Showground.

In the individual session Sam & Ashley really showcased the versatility and temperament of the Connemara pony, not only showjumping him but then doing it bareback followed by a brilliant exhibition of whip cracking, double dinking and generally every trick that you could throw at a pony. Sly handled it with his usual aplomb!

Glenormiston Slieveroe and Sam & Ashley were an absolute credit to the Connemara pony breed and both pony and kids handled themselves impeccably. I believe the reputation of the Connemara pony in Australia was admirably upheld at Equitana 2013!
