Highlands Mr Henrysee wins National Sporthorse Performance Title

Ashley and Highlands Mr Henrysee have been awarded the National Title of Connemara Sporthorse Performance Pony Under Saddle in the 2014/2015 CPBSA Awards Scheme.

This follows on from being awarded within the Top 5 National ponies in 2013/2014.

Ashley and Henry competed near and far over the year in many disciplines including Showjumping and Eventing. They won the Quirindi Pony Club C Grade ODE in August and followed up in September with a Showjumping win at the Merriwa Show. In October the combination were Reserve Champions in the Eventing at the Interschools Horse Extravaganza held at Tamworth and only a week later Sam and Henry won the Supreme Champion Showjumper at the Denman Pony Club Championships. November saw Ashley and Henry win the Local Rider Championship at the Scone Jump Club Annual Competition. Henry was then turned out for a well earned spell to resume in February as the Reserve Champion Showjumper at the NEGS Interschools competition. At the end of first term Ashley and Henry were awarded as Champion of the 80cm class and Reserve Champion of the 90cm class in cumulative points. Coonabarabran Pony Club held their pre Expo competition in April with Henry again taking out Reserve Champion Showjumper. May saw the pair place 2nd in the Preliminary division of the Quirindi ODE as well as runner up in the B Grade Eventing at the Coonabarabran Horse Expo.

All in all it was a very busy year resulting in the absolute honour of winning the National Title, not to mention the Silver Medallion award for performance too!
